Redlands Egg Hunt moves online because of coronavirus pandemic

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Redlands Egg Hunt, previously a hunt for eggs hidden in Redlands to be redeemed for prizes from a variety of local businesses, is being converted to an online event this year.

Normally there is no cost to participate in the Redlands Egg Hunt, but this year’s hunt will be used as a means to support local businesses, according to information about the hunt on Redlands Sky’s website, redlandssky.com.

Those who want to win one of the prize eggs must purchase something from a business that contributed to that egg, according to Redlands Sky.

The online event, featuring a scavenger hunt-style game and interactive contests for children and families, will be held Saturday, April 4.

Those who want to participate should follow Redlands Sky on Instagram or Facebook to know when the event starts.

The themed prize eggs include a Kids’ Egg, with a gift certificate from the Frugal Frigate children’s bookstore, Fiesta Village Family Fun Park passes and more; and a Foodie Egg, with gift certificates from Saverino’s Italian Deli, Sugarbee Cafe and Bake Shop and more. Others include a Date Night Egg, a Downtown Egg and the Golden Egg.

Those participating in the hunt are advised to follow Redlands Sky for hints during the contest and to follow the businesses that have contributed to the prize eggs, because they may also give hints.
