COVID-19: Gujarat Tally Of Total Coronavirus Cases Goes Past 11,000
AHMEDABAD (Gujarat): With 391 new cases reported during the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Gujarat has gone up to 11,380.
According to Health officials, 6184 patients are stable while 38 patients are on ventilator support.
34 patients have lost their lives during the last 24 hours taking the total death toll of COVID-19 in the state to 625.
In an online briefing, Principal Secretary of State Health and Family Welfare department Jayanti Ravi said that 191 patients have been discharged from the hospital during the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients discharged in the state till now to 4308.
The total number of cases in Ahmedabad has gone up to 8420, where 524 patients died while 2660 have been discharged from the hospitals.
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said that the guidelines related to lockdown 4 will be finalized today.
At the one end, the COVID-19 cases in the state are constantly increasing, but at the other end, the recovery rate also improved and gone up to 39.53 per cent — the best in the country.
As the nationwide lockdown extended up to May 31, the State government has decided to finalize the new guidelines by today evening. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced that the people will get relaxations, but the lockdown 4 will also be implemented very strictly.

He said that the people will be fined Rs. 200 for not wearing a mask and spitting at public places.
According to sources, the government is likely to allow the movement of two and three-wheeler from tomorrow.
