COVID-19: India Faring Better Than The Rest Of The World
NEW DELHI: India has fared better than other countries in the containment of COVID-19. This is mainly because the country pursued a pre-emptive and pro-active approach for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19.

Health Ministry officials, during the daily press briefing, said that coronavirus management efforts are being regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
Aggressive and early measures so far have shown encouraging results.

India has about 7.1 cases per lakh population vis a vis approximately 60 cases per lakh population for the world as a whole.
The recovery rate has improved to 38.29 per cent.
In Spain, it is 494 cases per lakh population, in US 431 cases, in Italy 372 cases, in Germany 210 cases, in UK 361 cases and in France 209 cases per lakh population.
