COVID-19: Jharkhand’s Coronavirus Cases Rise To 160; Recovery Rate At Healthy 48.75%
RANCHI (Jharkhand): The number of Corona positive cases has risen to 160 in the state with the addition of four new cases reported late night yesterday from Hazaribagh and Giridih district.
The number of recovered patients has gone up to 78, taking the recovery rate to 48.75 per cent in Jharkhand.
After the recent positive cases reported, four districts Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Koderma and Giridih which were earlier declared as Corona free zones have again moved back to red zone areas.
All the fresh cases reported from these districts are of the migrant labourers who have returned to their homes from red zone areas. While the biggest concern of the state authorities remains the return of migrant labourers from massively hit red zone areas to Jharkhand, the recovery of asymptomatic patients is a positive sign.
Only 38 more patients detected from the Corona hotspot area of Hindpiri locality in Ranchi district are yet to win this battle over the viral infection.
53 patients from this containment zone have recovered from COVID19 infection.
Meanwhile, Special Shramik Trains continue to bring in more number of stranded migrants to Jharkhand as trains from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Punjab and Gujarat have reached Jharkhand yesterday.
In the coming week, 15 more trains are expected to bring migrant labourers from Haryana, Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
The state government has also arranged buses for sending labourers to their homes by starting the inter-district bus transportation facility.
