The Total War Series Goes CCG with Total War: Elysium

The next game from the long-running, critically acclaimed Total War series is collectible card game. 

Currently in closed beta, Total War: Elysium features cards representing various historical military figures. Developer Creative Assembly – the UK-based studio responsible for the original Total War: Shogun – promises that strategy will trump luck. 

The various historical figures will work almost like classes, with Napoleon, e.g., conferring long-range advantages. The nine different generals on offer at launch will define your available tactical options, and determine your health reserves.

You can check out Total War: Elysium in the trailer above. We don’t know exactly when it’s coming, but we know that it will be free-to-play when it arrives.
