COVID-19: 7 Lakh People Have Now Recovered From Coronavirus In India
NEW DELHI: The government today said a total of 7,24,578 people infected with Covid-19 have recovered in the country so far and the recovery rate is 62.72 per cent in India. And the case fatality rate continues to decline in the country and has come down to 2.43 per cent.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry said, in a significant development a record number of 24,491 people have recovered in the past 24 hours.
Presently, the total number of active corona cases in the country is 4,02,529.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 37,148 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 11,55,191.
In a single day, 587 deaths have been reported taking the nationwide toll to 28,084.
In terms of the recovery rate of coronavirus cases, Delhi is at the top with 84.78 per cent followed by Ladakh, Haryana, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In these five states and Union Territories, the recovery rate is above 73 per cent.
19 States and Union Territories have better recovery rates than the national average of 62.72 per cent.
In terms of the number of people recovered from Covid-19, Maharashtra leads the tally followed by Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat.
There are 29 States and Union Territories which have a lower fatality rate than the national average of 2.43 per cent.
In the total active cases, around 68 per cent caseloads are from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research, ICMR reported that a total of 3,33,395 tests were conducted by various laboratories in the last 24 hours.
So far, 1,43,81,303 tests have been conducted in the country.
ICMR is continuously ramping up testing facilities and at present, a total of one thousand 274 laboratories across India are conducting Covid-19 tests. Of which,892 are government laboratories and 382 are private laboratory chains.
