Below Deck: Meet The New Season 9 Cast | Screen Rant

Fans are excited that Below Deck season 9 is coming soon, with what is basically a whole new crew. During Below Deck season 8, viewers saw the return of Eddie Lucas, who was the show's bosun from seasons 1 to 3. He left the series after he hooked up with third stew Raquel "Rocky" Dakota while he was in a relationship. Eddie needed a break from reality TV but was excited to return when he heard that Captain Lee Rosbach was eager to have him back.

Now, Eddie and Lee are back for another season, along with Chef Rachel Hargrove from Below Deck season 8. While Eddie and Rachel seemed to butt heads last season, it's possible that the two might be able to get along this year for the sake of their charter guests and crewmates. Along with the three returning crew members comes a whole new batch of stews and deckhands, plus a temporary Below Deck captain.

Fresh faces on the show add a lot of fun and excitement. However, fans love seeing familiar faces too. The new reality stars are bound the bring the drama. It's time to meet them all.

After more than two decades of working as a captain, Captain Lee, who is not leaving the show, is excited to get back out in the Caribbean waters. Once again he will be joined by his old pal Eddie Lucas. Chef Rachel Hargrove, who, he has referred to as one of the best chefs he's had onboard, is also coming back. However, in the trailer for season 9, Lee admits to Eddie that he has a health condition and won't be able to join him for the first charter. While Eddie is upset about not having Lee onboard, he welcomes a new captain while Captain Lee is absent.

According to Bravo, viewers will get to meet Below Deck's Captain Sean. He's a very hands-on leader. He is a charter manager who takes his career very seriously. In his eyes, the customer always comes first. He began his career in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. However, his love of boating began when he was very young. Sean, who will be the new captain on Below Deck season 9, has led many expeditions and was even awarded Boat International's Voyager Award. He was a captain on the My Seanna in the past.

Eddie was introduced to Below Deck fans during season 1. Even though he left after season 3 following a hookup gone wrong with Rocky Dakota, he decided to return for season 8 as the bosun. Eddie has an intensive background in paddling, skiing, and scuba diving, making him a perfect fit for yachting. Now a first officer, Eddie has a lot more responsibility on his shoulders for season 9.

Replacing Francesca Rubi from Below Deck season 8, Heather Chase is the new chief stew onboard. The newcomer has been working in the yachting industry for several years now and has perfected her abilities as a chief stew. When it comes to serving the guests, Heather expects nothing less than five-star service from the crew. She isn't afraid to do hard work if her stews slack off. Heather might even have staying power as the former chief stew Kate Chastain has given her a stamp of approval.

Viewers met Rachel Hargrove last season. Rachel's extensive range of culinary skills has allowed her to become the success she is as a yacht chef. Last season, Rachel got a lot of backlash from her crewmates after she left and then returned after seeing an outrageous preference sheet for upcoming charter guests. Even though her "demanding professionalism can be polarizing to others," Rachel stands her ground in the galley.

The yacht My Seanna that Captain Lee frequents will be Rayna's temporary home, alongside Eddie as a new deckhand. According to her Rayna Instagram page, Rayna is not only a deckhand but a yacht chef as well. She is also an advanced scuba diver who clearly has a deep love for the water. Rayna will fit right in will the crew as she's traveled to so many different countries, including Costa Rica, Panama, Thailand, and Mexico.

Fraser is one of the new stews onboard and the second male stew in Below Deck history. Josiah from season 6, who was supposed to be on Below Deck season 7 as Elizabeth Franiki's replacement, was the first steward to be featured on the show. Fraser will be working alongside the other newbies Heather and Jessica Albert. However, Fraser isn't new to the world of reality TV. He was once featured on the British reality series, Made In Chelsea.

Deckhand Jake from Below Deck will be working with Eddie in St. Kitts during season 9. Not much is known about Jake as of now, but the trailer does show him jumping off the yacht completely naked. It seems that Below Deck may have found a new jokester in Jake. Jake's Instagram shows that he loves to travel and is quite the artist.

Jessica Albert is another new stewardess onboard for Below Deck season 9. She has stayed rather mum about her involvement in the show, as her Instagram profile is currently set to private. However, fans did get to see a sneak peek into her potential romance with Wes O'Dell. Maybe once the show airs, viewers will get to learn a lot more about Jessica.

Crew member Wes from Below Deck was featured quite a bit in the season 9 trailer. Fans saw Wes and Rayna get into a potential argument, and he and Jessica were seen sharing a kiss outside the crew bunks. Wes's Instagram profile is also set to private, so there isn't much information about him available to the public.

Below Deck season 9 will premiere on October 25, replacing the Below Deck Mediterranean time slot. It has been almost a year since viewers have seen a new season of the original yachting series and fans are excited to get back to the OG series. So far, the cast seems great, and the trailer looks intense. Season 9 already seems to be a marked improvement from the year before.
