Disney Plus' Moon Knight Rumored To Feature A Different Comic Costume

Disney Plus and Marvel Studios' upcoming Moon Knight series is rumored to be getting an additional costume in the vein of 'Mr. Knight,' who is the same man under a different persona. Marc Spector uses Moon Knight to fight crime and Mr. Knight to consult with the NYPD as a masked white suit-wearing detective.

Moon Knight will be starring Oscar Isaac as the titular character. In the comics, Spector is an ex-mercenary who is given a second chance at life by the Egyptian moon god Khons (often spelled as Khonsu or Chons). He then becomes their avatar on Earth and begins fighting crime. He's often dubbed as 'Marvel's Batman' due to him acquiring an immense amount of wealth, fighting crime during the night, and being a predominantly hand-to-hand fighter. Marvel Studios' version of the character is expected to share the same traits.

The Mr. Knight persona is one that's used to cover his identity but also get him close to certain cases without walking straight up in a superhero outfit. It would be foolish for anyone in the Marvel world to not notice the similarities so, hopefully, the show gives a good incentive for this decision if the rumors from The Cosmic Circus are true. Regardless, the team behind the Moon Knight series has been teasing nothing but greatness. The site also teases very intense fight scenes, especially the hand-to-hand combat sequences between the titular character and his opponents. There was also a tease that he will take on a group of mercenaries in a scene very similar to the long hallway fight in Daredevil.

Other than that, not much is known about the Moon Knight plot besides just general speculation. What fans do know is that there have been a few villains cast, and this show will somehow tie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furthermore, Ethan Hawke has been cast in an undisclosed role that fans suspect will be villainous in nature.

Moon Knight was a long-awaited character for many die-hard Marvel fans, and he's looking to get the limelight in the same way that Marvel turned other less commonly known heroes into worldwide icons. Guardians of the Galaxy went from having a small following to getting two movies (with a third one on the way), an upcoming Christmas special episode, and even a video game.

Iron Man went from being a "B-Tier" hero to leading three films and becoming one of the main Avengers. So, fans of Moon Knight are hoping his Disney Plus series will catapult the character into A-list status.

Moon Knight is excepted to premiere on Disney Plus in 2022.
