90 Day Fiancé: Sumit Shares Video & Funny Story Behind Monkey Scene
Sumit Singh shared a funny story behind the monkey scene that was shown on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 3. During the episode, Sumit took Jenny to a Hindu temple of Monkey God. After visiting the temple, the couple sat outside on a bench, which was surrounded by several monkeys. Jenny was visibly scared to sit around the monkeys, but Sumit told her that she just needed to be calm and the monkeys wouldn't bug her. The couple started talking, and Jenny then rejected Sumit's mother's cunning plan. She told Sumit she isn't comfortable living with his parents, Anil and Sadhna, and she doesn't want to make yet another sacrifice for him.
90 Day Fiancé star Sumit said that his mother is trying to show her Indian culture and see how they live as a couple. He was happy to see Sadha taking a small step towards accepting Jenny as her daughter-in-law. While keeping an eye on monkeys, Jenny told Sumit that she doesn't feel his mother has the right intentions. The Palm Springs native believed that Sadha would make her life a living hell, which will eventually make her leave India. Suddenly, a few monkeys screeched, and the couple quickly left the bench they were sitting on. 90 Day Fiancé star Jenny was shocked since she had never seen something like that before.
Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers were fascinated to see so many monkeys during the scene, and perhaps that's why Sumit has shared a behind-the-scenes video. In the short clip, fans can see over 100 monkeys congregating in the same place where the couple was sitting. The cameraperson was visible, and one of the crew members could be heard telling Jenny to be careful. With the fun video, 33-year-old TV star Sumit wrote, "After the conversation we gave them (to monkeys) lots of bananas." When the 90 Day Fiancé couple started filming, they were only surrounded by 10-15 monkeys.
He added, "We didn't [realize] that a big group of monkeys are about to come and we are sitting on [their] bench." Sumit, who recently posted a throwback photo, revealed that one of the monkeys even snatched a bottle of Coke from his hand. Many fans loved the scene and this behind-the-scenes video. A fan commented, "Lol hands down my favorite moment from that episode. Much love to both of you." Another 90 Day Fiancé fan chimed in, "Lol I was watching this thinking...this is insane!'" A different fan wrote, "Monkey overload!" A fan asked Jenny via Facebook if she was scared to sit with the monkeys. Jenny said she was and wanted to cry.
It seems like Sumit and Jenny filmed with monkeys in the backdrop because the production crew wanted to take such shots. While Sumit was calm, Jenny looked terrified throughout the scene. Still, it is nice to see that she was safe and didn't have an encounter with the monkeys. She tried to stay calm while the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way crew took some interesting shots of the agile monkeys.
