Bill Murray Reveals Title & New Details For Wes Anderson’s Next Movie

Bill Murray has revealed new details, including the title, of Wes Anderson's next film. The movie has been building a stellar ensemble cast, much like all his films, while keeping the title a closely guarded secret. The project will mark Anderson's first collaboration with Tom Hanks and Margot Robbie. However, it will also see the return of prior Anderson collaborators in Murray, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Bryan Cranston, Liev Schreiber, and Jason Schwartzman. Murray and Anderson's most recent collaboration, The French Dispatch, is currently making the rounds at film festivals.
According to Screen Daily, following BFI's London Film Festival screening of the anthology-style film, Murray revealed previously unknown details about Anderon's next movie, called Asteroid City. Asteroid City is currently filming, with Murray adding, "We're shooting it in Spain, about 45 minutes from Madrid."

Even with the addition of the title, the plot details of Asteroid City are still unknown. Assumptions could be made that a title like Asteroid City would be a disaster movie or something of the sort. However, that doesn't seem in line with Anderson's style, leaving audiences to continue speculating. Still, Asteroid City marks the tenth collaboration between Murray and Anderson, with Murray saying, "There are certain people you don't take their calls; and there are certain people you just say, 'OK, yeah.' He's one of those." Asteroid City is currently expected to release in 2022, but no specific date has been given. Though Anderson films often play well during awards season, so a release window later in the year would be likely. Further details on Asteroid City will be forthcoming as the project develops.
