RHOP: Nicki Minaj Attends Season 6 Potomac Reunion | Screen Rant
There's a new queen in Potomac now that rap sensation Nicki Minaj has taken over The Real Housewives of Potomac season 6 reunion show. The "Super Bass" rap artist is a true RHOP fan and has been known on occasion to express her feelings about the Bravo TV reality series with her millions of followers on social media. Minaj isn't the only famous RHOP fan; fellow icons Rihanna and award-winning fashion designer Telfar Clemens are also avid watchers of the show.
Minaj first put the idea about hosting the reunion as a joke on Instagram back in July. Grammy-award winning artist Minaj posted a promo video for The Real Housewives of Potomac that featured her hit track "Moment for Life" as different montages of the housewives flashed, teasing the upcoming season. Minaj captioned the post, "I'll be hosting the reunion. lmk what y'all want me to ask chile." What first started off as an amusing post turned into Nicki's publicist Joe calling her and telling her that reunion host Andy Cohen would gladly give up his seat to have her host the Potomac reunion.
Fast forward to the filming of the RHOP reunion, and both Minaj and Cohen shared photos of the two of them posing together on set. Minaj captioned the slideshow of photos, "GUESS WHO BTCHS?!!!!! #Andiconda #RHOP COMING SOON ON @BRAVOTV @bravoandy #Moment4Life." When previously asked if he would be open to have Minaj host the reunion, Cohen said he would love to figure out a way to make that happen because he's interested in seeing what she would ask the housewives. Cohen obviously figured out the details. To announce Minaj's arrival on set, Cohen captioned his photo, "It's the Reunion I could never get away with! At the end of ours, tonight @nickiminaj surprised the #RHOP and did her own thing! #AndyConda."
No further details have come up about what Minaj will bring to the reunion. RHOP housewife Candiace Dillard Bassett said over the summer that she was in support of having the rapper on the show. In exchange for answering any of her burning RHOP questions, she wants Minaj to deliver eight bars on a remix to Bassett's song "Drive Back."
It's no secret that the ladies of The Real Housewives of Potomac can throw shade like no other housewife (except for shade queen NeNe Leakes from RHOA), but fans will have to wait and see if Minaj can not only dish it out but also take it. There might be some friendly burns between Minaj and Bassett when the rapper called Bassett's song "nice" on Instagram, so maybe Bassett will confront her and get those eight bars of Minaj on her track in exchange for revealing juicy Housewives dirt.
