Ghost of Tsushima PC Retail Listing Hints At Steam Release

A linked retail listing hints that Ghost Of Tsushima might be coming to Steam this February. Sony has recently started porting many of its highly successful PlayStation exclusive titles over the past couple of years, starting with Horizon: Zero Dawn and Death Stranding in 2020. Since then, Square Enix’s highly successful Final Fantasy VII Remake arrived on the Epic Games Store earlier this month, and Steam-based ports of 2018’s God Of War reboot and the upcoming Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection are both slated to launch in the coming year.
These titles could be far from the only ones Sony is looking to bring to PC, as a leak from Nvidia GeForce Now's database listed several big-name PlayStation games and the dates that players could see them arrive on outlets like Steam over the next few years. While many of these ports are mere speciation - and some of the games listed haven't even been officially announced at all - it is worth noting that the Nvidia leak correctly predicted many of the previously mentioned PC releases like Final Fantasy VII Remake and God Of War. Now, it seems like one more high-profile PC exclusive from Nvidia’s list could be joining them next year.
Reddit user Repulsive_Lettuce recently shared a leaked retail listing (via Imgur) that features Ghost Of Tsushima with a PC release date of February 7, 2022. Repulsive_Lettuce stresses that this might be a faked image that they themselves doubt, but it comes from a supposedly "reputable" grey-market key code vendor. When they asked where this Ghost Of Tsushima information came from, their source could only reveal that it came from “the people that sell the keys to them” - which Repulsive_Lettuce presumes means the developers or publishers behind the game in question.

Developed by Infamous and Sly Cooper studio Sucker Punch and released on the PlayStation 4 last July, Ghost Of Tsushima told the story of samurai warrior Jin Sakai as he battled to free the titular Japanese island from an invading Mongolian army. Ghost Of Tsushima earned critical acclaim for its rich visuals, engaging combat, and narrative themes of revenge, family, and honor, though its open-world was seen as uninspired. Earlier this year, Sucker Punch released a PS5 update for Ghost Of Tsushima along with a massive new DLC expansion that took Jin to the Iki Islands to battle a sinister Mongolian cult. A live-action Ghost Of Tsushima film is also in the works by John Wick director Chad Stahelski, who promises that his version will remain true to the game.
This rumored Ghost Of Tsushima PC port hasn't been confirmed yet and should be taken with a grain of salt until Sony or Sucker Punch come forward with an official announcement. Still, the leaked image's February 7 release date isn't that far removed from the Nvidia GeForce listing (which marked Ghost Of Tsushima for February 8), and if it does prove to be accurate, PC owners who didn’t get a chance to play Ghost of Tsushima could have something special to look forward to in a few short months.
