1000-Lb Sisters: Why There Might Not Be A Season 4 | Screen Rant

Amy and Tammy Slaton's journeys took drastic turns in 1000-lb Sisters season 3 as the pair progressed in their personal and weight loss goals, and although viewers are eager for the next chapter of the Slaton family's series, there might not be a season 4. Fans left Amy and Tammy at pivotal moments in their lives during the season 3 finale, but viewers might not be invited to watch the repercussions of the latest dramatic season. From comments Amy and Tammy have made to the family's ongoing health issues, here's why 1000-lb Sisters fans think there might not be a season 4.

Although Amy and Tammy have overcome plenty of adversity in their first couple of years in 1000-lb Sisters, season 3 turned out to be the most consequential entry in the Slaton family's weight loss story to date. For starters, all of the Slaton siblings were forced to reconcile with their ongoing aversion to dealing with their fitness. In addition to Tammy going to rehab, Amy was reminded that she can't give up on her diet just because she's a mother. Additionally, the Slaton sisters' relationships were put to the test as Tammy pushed Amy to her wit's end. Fans are hoping to witness Amy and Tammy's resolutions, but there might not be a 1000-lb Sisters season 4.

Unfortunately, Amy and Tammy might not be interested in returning to reality television for 1000-lb Sisters season 4. Both of the sisters have experienced intense traumatic moments while starring side by side, and the pair could be tired of sharing their personal lives with the world. What's more, both Amy and Tammy have enough to worry about without the pressures of performing in a reality TV series. Specifically, Amy has already gotten everything she wanted out of 1000-lb Sisters. Amy and Tammy initially joined the show to achieve their weight loss ambitions. Amy underwent bariatric surgery at the end of season 1, and by the end of 1000-lb Sisters season 2, Amy accomplished her goal of becoming a mother. Amy might not have anything else to strive for in 1000-lb Sisters and could only jeopardize her relationship with Tammy by continuing to star in the series.

In an interview with The Sun, Amy explained that she might not return for 1000-lb Sisters season 4. Amy shared that ever since she had Gage and got pregnant with her second child, her priorities have shifted. Amy explained, "I feel like I'm being a bad mom when I'm at work... I don't really want to do another season because I'm pregnant, it's just a lot." Unfortunately for fans eager to witness the Slaton family's growth, Amy would rather be a mother than a reality star. As for Tammy, the older Slaton sister is also preoccupied. Although she is yet to reach the success she committed to in season 1, Tammy might not be able to leave rehabilitation facilities to film 1000-lb Sisters season 4 with her family. Tammy's overwhelmed with her ongoing health complications, which means there might not be a 1000-lb Sisters season 4.

Amy and Tammy are at exciting times in both of their lives, and as much as 1000-lb Sisters fans would love to keep up with the Slaton family members forever, the pair of sisters might not be interested in season 4. From Amy's blossoming family to Tammy's precarious health condition, neither Amy nor Tammy have the free time to dedicate to starring in 1000-lb Sisters. Unfortunately, 1000-lb Sisters fans have to face the harsh reality that there might not be a season 4.
