Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Nigel Thornberry Character Is A Nightmare

A Tiny Tina's Wonderlands player recently shared an image of their custom character inspired by The Wild Thornberrys' Nigel Thornberry, revealing quite a startling sight. The recently released Borderlands spin-off is based around a Dungeons & Dragons-type tabletop game, boasting comparable RPG elements mixed with the franchise's signature crass comedy, cel-shaded art style, and looter-shooter gameplay. Reviews of the title have been mostly favorable, but many feel that more could have been done with the game's tabletop elements.
Just like any good tabletop game, Tiny Tina's starts off with players filling out their character sheet, which is the framing device used for the character customization process. After selecting a class with desired characteristics and abilities, players are faced with a bevy of robust personalization options. While many of the avatars have inextricable fantasy traits such as pointed ears and impossible skin colors, players can adjust a number of other features, including hairstyle and hair color, eye shape and position, facial hair, and bone structure. These sliders and menu items can be combined to craft some creative and strange player characters worthy of Tiny Tina's more out-there weapons, powers, and environments.
As is the case with most popular games featuring a character creation menu, Tina Tina's Wonderlands has birthed a number of tribute/crossover avatars from other franchises. One Reddit user by the handle KentHawking recently shared their custom character that was created in the likeness of Nigel Thornberry from the beloved cartoon series The Wild Thornberrys. The screenshot shared by KenHawking only shows the avatar's head, but all its facial features and hair have been made visible.
While this creation may seem somewhat more macho than the dorky patriarch of the Thornberry family, there is still a striking resemblance; two of the character's most iconic features, his fiery red hair and dramatic mustache, have been translated surprisingly well. However, smaller details like Nigel's beady eyes and outwardly stretched ears have also been replicated, making this creation more impressive and frightening. KentHawking can only hope to avoid Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' progression bug so that they can hold onto this one-of-a-kind custom character.
KenHawking's creation is certainly indicative of just how complex and pliable Tiny Tina's Wonderlands' character creation can be. Of course, this rendition of Nigel Thornberry might be somewhat off-putting or even creepy to some, but there is an observable attention to detail that was paid when crafting him. As more players sink their teeth into Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, it's possible that even more impressive Thornberry-themed creations will rear their heads.
