Why RHOA Season 14 Promises To Be Explosive | Screen Rant
The trailer for The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 has just been released and it’s looking to be full of explosive drama. RHOA vets Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, Drew Sidora, and Shereé Whitfield are returning to the small screen, along with Marlo Hampton, who was previously a “friend of” who has finally earned herself a peach. Newcomer Sanya Richards-Ross, the winner of four Olympic gold medals for track and field, will be rounding out the RHOA cast. Notably absent this season are Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams, who both chose to focus on other endeavors.
Fans are excited to see Shereé back as a housewife after her recurring role on RHOA. Shereé was one of the original RHOA housewives who starred between seasons 1 and 4. She came back for seasons 9 and 10 but left again until her return for season 14. Fans will also be excited to see what Sanya brings to RHOA. The former Olympian is no stranger to reality television and previously starred in WE’s Glam and Gold, which focused on her family and marriage to NFL player Aaron Ross. Sanya is coming into her debut RHOA season hot, as fans see her yelling in the season 14 trailer, "I'm a four-time Olympic gold medalist. Put some respect on my name!"
Even though Marlo was a “friend” on RHOA for many years, she still brought a lot of drama. Last season, she was caught in between Porsha and Kenya’s long-standing feud. This season, fans will see a more vulnerable side to her as she takes care of her nephews while their mom is in a mental health facility. Surprisingly, Shereé is seen sitting down with Apollo Nida who is the ex-husband of former RHOA star Phaedra Parks. It seems like Shereé was asking for advice on her relationship with her boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams, who was released from prison in February 2021.
Kandi’s issues with her mother Joyce Jones and husband Todd Tucker will seemingly rear their ugly head again in RHOA season 14. Joyce and Todd have a long history of disagreeing with each other. In the trailer, Joyce is seen complaining to Kandi about Todd not having enough money to pay off their condo. A fed-up Todd is shown calling Kandi’s family “disrespectful” and walking away. Kandi, who is usually the peacemaker of the group, seems to have a blowout fight with Marlo sometime this season. Drew gets into it with Shereé, calling someone her “lapdog” and throwing a bone on the floor while someone drags her away from the fight.
The drama on RHOA never fails to disappoint and some of the Real Housewives' most iconic moments have stemmed from the show. Fans still quote Kenya’s “Gone with the wind fabulous” comment and Shereé’s “Who gon’ check me, boo?” Fans also can’t forget Bolo, the male dancer from Cynthia’s bachelorette party in season 13. With the new cast shakeup, it looks as if there is going to be plenty of fresh drama on The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14.
