Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Calls Katie & Tom’s Split ‘Heartbreaking’
Lisa Vanderpump states that Katie and Tom’s split was heartbreaking and hard for her to hear. Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz have been together for over 12 years. The couple has been starring in Vanderpump Rules since it aired in 2013. Lisa has been very supportive of the couple throughout their relationship.
Katie and Tom had been married for almost three years and had been in a relationship for over 12 years. Lisa has been close to the couple for over a decade as she was the couple’s boss while they were on Vanderpump Rules. She even officiated their wedding. While the pair have been on Vanderpump Rules for almost a decade, they did not meet on the show. The pair officially became a couple in 2011 after a friend set them up together and their relationship wasn’t without scandal. Tom was rumored to have cheated on Katie, but the couple worked through all their issues and got engaged during season 4. They would later be married in a beautiful ceremony in 2016 and were married again for the second time in 2019. Rumors surfaced in early March after Katie was seen without her wedding ring. Later that month, Tom announced that they were officially breaking up and on March 22, Katie filed for divorce. Though they have been seen together since separating, Lisa has been supportive of the couple’s relationship throughout their ups and downs on Vanderpump Rules.
Lisa told Page Six in a recent interview that she called the couple once she heard rumors that they were going to be getting a divorce. “Obviously, I’m very invested in them as a couple so it was heartbreaking to hear. I’m very close to them.” It is clear that Lisa feels very connected to the couple and their relationship as she has known them for years. She had nothing but kind words to say about each of them. Lisa said, “I would love to see Tom and Katie get back together” and that Katie and Tom are “both lovely, lovely people.” Lisa is very supportive of the couple trying to make their relationship work after their divorce.
Lisa is also open to them being on the next season of Vanderpump Rules. “There are a lot of stories still to tell among the kids, especially right now because the dynamic has changed so much and people are so invested in them.” The show has been on the air for almost 10 years and spanned nine long seasons.
With no news on season 10 of Vanderpump Rules release date, one can hope that Katie and Tom will be in a new season, even if the pair will be separated and not together. While Lisa has high hopes of the couple working things out and getting back together, that is yet to be seen in the light of the divorce. The couple has been known to work through their hardships so it will be of no surprise if the couple rekindles their romance.
