Baymax!: The Main Characters, Ranked By Likability | ScreenRant
Disney+ just released the series Baymax! for fans of Big Hero 6. This is a spin-off series of both the movie and the animated series about the superheroes who protect San Fransokyo. Based on the Marvel Comics characters of the same name, the series only features two members of the superhero team - Hiro Hamada and his personal healthcare companion, Baymax.
In reality, of those two, only Baymax is in every episode while Hiro is only in mid-credit stingers in each one until the season finale. The series is set up at only 11-12 minutes an episode and sees Baymax helping a different person in each one until the end when there is a two-part finale with the characters helping him. This limits the total main characters, but most of them leave a positive taste in fans' mouths, and it isn't just Baymax's lollipops.
9 Mochi

There are very limited main characters on Baymax!, so it might be a nice time to look at the cat that made its debut in Big Hero 6. While it was only a small scene, Mochi played an important role in the first episode of the Disney+ series. Fans might remember Mochi as the "hairy baby" in one of Big Hero 6's funniest moments.
Mochi is Aunt Cass's cat and probably the least likable character in Baymax!. It isn't so much that she isn't a good cat, but she is a cat and wants nothing to do with people. She refused to follow Cass's instructions but still provided a spycam video that helped her feel better about herself, so that was at least a little helpful.
8 Yachi

There was a second cat in Baymax!, and while it wasn't very likable at all, it did something important which puts it slightly better than Mochi on the least of cartoon felines. Yachi appeared in the penultimate episode where Baymax tried to help it ager it swallowed an earbud.
Yachi did the unthinkable. Not only did it not want help, but it forced Baymax to chase it all over town, puncturing him multiple times with its claws, before leaving the healthcare provider with a dead battery in a building about to be demolished. Luckily, as bad as those actions were, Yachi redeemed himself in the end by helping save Baymax, which is where the cat is slightly more likable than Mochi.
7 Sofia

Sofia was the main character in the third episode. She was a young 12-year-old girl that started her menstruation cycle for the first time while in school. Humiliated, she hid in the bathroom until Baymax showed up to help her.
Sofia was not likable through most of the episode because she didn't seem happy about anything, dismissing all forms of help. She finally came out of her shell at the last second and made her way back to the talent show and showed that she had grown. It was still a little late to elevate her as a genuinely likable character.
6 Mbita

Mbita was one of the hardest people for Baymax to help, and that says a lot since almost everyone in this series fought his attempts to assist them. For Mbita, he owned a food truck that sold fish soup, and that is all he would sell since it was his family business. Then, he ended up with fish allergies.
With viewers cheering on Baymax to help people, Mbita was instantly unlikable when he forced the healthcare provider chased him through town. He also caused lots of collateral damage before almost wrecking his truck, going way overboard. The ending turned things around and showed Mbita as a man scared of change but willing to try, making him more likable than Sofia in the end.
5 Aunt Cass's Customers

While not a major character, the customers of Cass's coffee shop played a huge role in the first episode. The premiere of Baymax! brought in a character that fans already knew in Aunt Cass. She spent the beginning making sure that all her customers had the best service.
When she hurt her ankle and Baymax took over her job, she was scared people would find somewhere else to frequent. With Cass as such a likable character, when the customers proved that they loved her and brought her out of her depression, it made all of them immensely likable. It is a show like Baymax! that shows little things help, and the customers were the perfect example of that.
4 Kiko

Kiko was an older woman who lived by herself and injured her back. When Baymax saw this, he wanted to help, but she was cranky and wanted nothing to do with anything he said. When he wanted her to possibly swim at the rec center, she became even more hostile.
When she set out to pop Baymax, it made her an instant villain in the episode. However, Baymax was not deterred and the ending had a special moment that elevated her. She suffered a loss that explained her attitude, and it bore a strong resemblance to the movie Up and one of the saddest scenes in Pixar history. When her pain came to the surface, and she softened up to Baymax, it made her one of the show's most likable patients.
3 Hiro

Outside of Baymax, the one character fans knew the most about in the Disney+ series was Hiro Hamada. This is Baymax's owner and the leader of Big Hero 6 - the superhero team. However, in this series, he only showed up in the post-credit scenes until the season finale.
It was here that Hiro had to gather all the people Baymax helped this season and team up with them to find and save the lovable robot health companion. Even in the small appearances throughout the season, it was clear he loved Baymax and his interactions with the robot showed why Hiro is such a likable character in the Big Hero 6 universe.
2 Cass

The first person that Baymax helped was Cass, Hiro's aunt who has helped raise him since he lost his parents, and later his older brother died in Big Hero 6. Cass runs a coffee shop and told Baymax that she has to have that or she can't keep her promise to take care of her family.
Out of all the people that Baymax had to help, Cass's concerns and pain were most obvious. That helped fans like her and get behind her, even as she disobeyed Baymax. She was kind and considerate to everyone, and everyone loved her. When she learned Baymax was in danger and dropped everything to help find him, it proved why she is such a beloved, likable character.
1 Baymax

The most likable character on Baymax!, by far, is Baymax himself. While he is pushy and demanding to those who need help, he is also generous and patient, willing to do what it takes to help anyone in need, one of the best robot characters in movie history. With Kiko, he took the torment and led her to her fear, making her happy again.
With Mbita, he helped the man face his fears and left him in a better place. He even set out to save a cat that wanted nothing to do with him and he almost died because of it. The season finale showed all the people he helped, and every one of them was willing to do anything to save him, proving that even if he was annoying, he was likable and beloved by all those he touched.
