Dialga is a Legendary Steel and Dragon Pokémon that players can encounter in Raids in Pokémon Go. Dialga comes from Generation 4 and was one of the three Legendary Pokémon that created Sinnoh, first seen in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. For a limited time, Dialga is back in Five Star Raids in Pokémon Go.
As a Steel- and Dragon-type Pokémon, Dialga is weak to Fighting and Ground moves in Pokémon Go. Therefore, any Pokémon with these attributes would be best to use when countering Dialga in a Five-Star Raid. However, Dialga is resistant to a lot of different move types: Bug, Electric, Flying, Grass, Normal, Poison, Psychic, Rock, Steel, and Water. Players should take care to craft a team that doesn't have any of these Pokémon types on it, as Dialga is difficult enough with a whopping 53,394 CP as a Five-Star Raid boss.
The best counters for Dialga in a Pokémon Go Raid are Pheromosa, Lucario, Conkeldurr, Breloom, Excadrill, and Garchomp. All of these Pokémon are either fighting- or ground-type Pokémon with powerful Fast and Charged moves, so players should build up and strengthen this team before facing Dialga in a fight.
