Rhaenyra Copies 2 Big Daenerys Moments (& It's Bad News For Westeros)

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for House of the Dragon season 1, episode 10, "The Black Queen," and George R.R. Martin's book, Fire & Blood. Rhaenyra Targaryen has two major parallels with Game of Thrones' Daenerys Targaryen in the House of the Dragon season 1 finale, "The Black Queen," which set up her character change and spell bad news for Westeros. Rhaenyra and Daenerys have some obviously similarities, both believing themselves the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, driven by a sense of both birthright and destiny. Daenerys' arc, of course, ended up in extremely controversial fashion, with her making a villainous turn and destroying King's Landing in Game of Thrones season 8. House of the Dragon will want to avoid a similar backlash, but is still very much leaning into the parallels, especially in two specific finale moments.
