Danny Boyle Already Directed Daniel Craig's James Bond (Sort Of)

Danny Boyle leaving Bond 25 still feels like a missed opportunity, but Boyle got a chance to direct Daniel Craig as James Bond in a different production. Boyle’s vision for Bond may not have come to fruition as a film, but people got a chance to see Daniel Craig's Agent 007 in a Boyle short film outside the movie franchise. Boyle was previously attached to direct the then-untitled Bond 25 in 2018 and stated that he and his collaborative partner already had a script in development. Boyle and his partner, however, left the project in late 2018 citing creative differences. While Daniel Craig’s Bond films are known for changes to the franchise, Boyle explained that the franchise producers lost confidence in his vision.
