After spending a tremendous amount of time and effort throughout 2018 and 2019 to sign as many wrestlers as possible to long-term contracts, WWE has seemingly done a 180 on this policy in 2021. Fans saw a hint of it in 2020, with April seeing a massive swathe of WWE wrestler releases, but it turns out that was just a taste of what was to come.
